City Hall

Séc. XVI / Séc. XX

The building dates back to the 16th century, characterised by round arches forming an open porch on the façade.
Set at the intersection of the main roads, the new blocks and street layout, which corresponded to the initial phase of urban expansion of the town in 1572, were structured around it. From 1732 to 1758 and later, between 1870 and 1893, the building was expanded, moving towards the central and northern part of the block, and the main façade facing south, surmounted by a platband on which angles there were vases, was ennobled.
On the central part of the building, on top of the window-balcony, one can see the baroque carvings of weapons, but framed by a small bell tower equipped with a clock, adding symmetry to the set. Throughout the 20th century it has undergone several renovation and expansion works, starting to occupy the entire block.
