House of F. Campos Morais

Séc. XX

In the ancient urban structure of Fão village it is easy to note the great influence of the Brazilian culture at the beginning of the 20th century through the Brazilian taste of the rich "torna viagem" men who ordered the building of notable stately homes.
Francisco Campos Morais House was probably built in 1905 to this fortunate "Brazilian" that returned definitively to Portugal in the first years of the 20th century.
The palace, which resembles the colonial style, was based on the deep reconstruction of an old existing building and was acquired from Antonio Veiga, his friend and fellow emigrant in Brazil.
