"Summer at Your Fingertips" is an initiative under the ESlocal programme (Incentive Programme for the Production and Consumption of Local Products), aimed at promoting locally produced agri-food products and traditional crafts.

At the promotional stand located in Largo Rodrigues Sampaio, in the city of Esposende, visitors can discover a wide range of products from local businesses and artisans until the end of September.

The following producers and artisans are taking part in these promotional and sales activities: Alberta Domingues, Ana Catarina Lima, Fernanda Regado, Marta Arriscado, Sara Hipólito, Daniela Rodrigues, Beatriz Pereira, Licores Cardoso, Isabel Sá and Teresa Sobral.</p>

This summer, let your imagination run wild and come and create your own monotype prints!

Monotypes are unique prints – every artwork is one of a kind and can never be exactly reproduced. Inspired by the São Lourenço Hillfort and the natural heritage that surrounds it, we'll create, experiment and print… but no two prints will ever be the same!

Learn how to create painted designs using mirrored printing techniques and transfer them onto paper in this fun and creative workshop!

Part of the Esposende Run programme, this night run organised by the Municipality of Esposende offers participants a unique sporting experience surrounded by nature.

Covering a distance of 10 km, the route follows the Cávado and Canal Ecoway, linking Esposende to Rio de Moinhos (Marinhas), and offering participants panoramic views of the riverside landscape and the municipality's natural surroundings.

The initiative aims to encourage regular physical activity, promote social interaction among participants, and showcase the area's natural heritage.

The event features a strong gastronomic focus, with stalls dedicated almost exclusively to seafood, run by local associations from Fão. Through this initiative, these associations raise essential funds to support their activities throughout the year. The food offering is complemented by stalls showcasing regional confectionery, promoting Fão's traditional sweets and helping to preserve and celebrate the town's local identity.

The beer stand is also one of the event's main attractions. Daily entertainment creates a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the event.

Running alongside the food festival is the Craft Fair, bringing together more than forty artisans and showcasing traditional craftsmanship alongside the region's rich cultural and artistic heritage.

The Night-Time Cávado River Paddle is a recreational and sporting event that invites participants to experience the Cávado River in a unique way, combining sport, nature and a memorable evening atmosphere.

The route, covering approximately 5 to 6 kilometres, starts at the Esposende Riverside Area (Pé no Rio) and finishes at Fonte Boa / Barca do Lago. Taking place after dark, the event offers a striking visual experience, with illuminated craft creating a unique and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the journey.

Participants can take part in two-person kayaks (K2) or on stand up paddleboards (SUP), making the activity suitable for people with different levels of experience. More than just a sporting challenge, it is an opportunity to enjoy the river’s natural surroundings and share memorable moments in close contact with nature.

This activity features a dramatised reading of a story focused on the theme of water, presented by Clarinha, the environmental mascot of the Environmental Education Centre. Throughout the story, participants will explore how our everyday consumption habits affect the availability and quality of water resources.

Topics such as the water cycle, river and marine ecosystems, and the main threats affecting water bodies will also be explored. The activity will conclude with a hands-on practical session, encouraging participants to actively engage with the themes presented.

The folk dances, traditional songs and customs of Esposende’s ethnographic groups take centre stage every Tuesday evening, bringing their usual colour and vibrant atmosphere. These performances promise to engage the audience, inviting everyone to interact and become part of the show.

FestiTeatro – Street Theatre Festival returns to Esposende for its 10th edition. With the aim of showcasing new creative approaches to street theatre while encouraging public access to arts and culture in open public spaces, FestiTeatro has established itself as a highly successful event, celebrating this unique artistic form.

The evening performances for the general public will be preceded by a series of special shows for children, taking place on the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday, 29 and 30 August. The programme will also include hands-on workshops led by the invited artists, specially designed for families to explore and experience the creative process together.
